- Inspired by the Hawaiian ‘Ua‘u, named after their call “oo-AH-oo”, can be heard at night when they leave their underground burrows on the mountain tops of Haleakala, Mauna Loa, and Wai’ale’ale to hunt for squid in the Pacific Ocean. ‘Ua‘u are an endangered species with less than 1,000 estimated to be in existence.
- Each piece is handcrafted and as so will differ both in print(pattern placement, stamp texture, etc...) and in frame finish(wood grain, stain tone, etc...)
